We know that no one likes to pay fees, which is why we try hard to keep them as low as possible. Below we explain in plain English what is due when, and how much you will get back (if everything is ok)
Rent: Monthly charge for use of a bedroom and communal areas within one of our properties. Unless otherwise stated the rent includes all bills, including council tax, utilities, broadband, water, communal TV licence. Due: By 1st each month for the duration of your tenancy
Deposit: A one off fee of £200. This is held with the Deposit Protection Scheme and used to cover any damage or charges incurred as a result of you living in one of our houses, outside of permitted wear and tear. The deposit will be registered within 4 weeks of us receiving it. You’ll receive an email which you must keep, to recover your deposit at the end of your tenancy, subject to deductions. Before your checkout we’ll provide a guide on how to get your deposit back to make this process easier. Due: By contract start day
Room Holding Deposit: A one off fee of £100. This fee is used to reserve the room and take it off the market. If you pull out or provide misleading information, this money may be retained by us. If everything proceeds as expected, this £100 will then be put towards your £200 deposit (see above) Due: On the day of requesting the room.
